Are We a Good Fit?
I've worked with a lot of homeowners and real estate listing agents throughout the Rogue Valley.
The more I work with different people, the more I realize who I really enjoy working with—and what kind of person I really enjoy helping succeed.
Because that's exactly what we do. We help homeowners succeed, and we help agents succeed. Our number one goal is to help YOU succeed.
What I really like about some of the people I work with is that they feel the same way. For the agents, their goal is to help their homeowners succeed. They do what it takes, and they take the time that's needed to do it right.
I really enjoy working with people who aren't rushing a listing to market—unless, of course, that's all the client wants.
But if the client wants a really good presentation, I like working with agents who take the time to help them achieve that, rather than just rushing things and saying, "It looks fine." when it really doesn't.
So if those words have come out of your mouth when they really weren't true, then I don't think we're a good fit.
I'm not saying you have to be the one out there planting flowers for the homeowner. But at least make sure they know what needs to be done, and help them hire someone who can do it if they need to.
Because we've all seen it—a house goes on the market with a messy front yard or something else that clearly needs attention, and nobody has told the homeowners.
I've been to houses where the homeowners are switching agents, and the new agent brings me in to help improve the home's presentation.
And the homeowners are just scratching their heads and asking me, "Why didn't they tell me to do these things? Why didn't the previous agent tell me what to do, to market the house better?"
I know who those agents were, and that's not who I want to work with, unless they've changed. Because in today's market we need to position your listings to rise above the competition, or your sellers leave money on the table.
If you're the type of agent who wants to make sure your sellers are presenting their house in a way they can be proud of—and in a way that makes home buyers feel like the property has been cared for—then we'd make a good team.
Because I help you do that.
The agents I work with have this mindset. They do it consistently. They care a lot, and they're very successful. They're selling a lot of houses; they're selling them quickly; and they're selling them for over asking price.
They're helping their stats, and more importantly, they're helping their clients succeed - and that leads to more referrals!
The more I work with different agents and sellers around Southern Oregon, the more I really value the ones who care a lot. Those are the people I want to work with.
This is one of the reasons I started a home staging business. We're not just bringing furniture into a house. We're helping an agent and their seller create a presentation and experience that works for today's home buyers.
